Overview
The EB-1A category is for individuals with extraordinary ability in sciences, arts, education, business, or athletics. Unlike other employment-based green cards, you can self-petition without an employer sponsor. This is the fastest path to permanent residency for qualified individuals.
Requirements
To qualify, you must demonstrate at least 3 of the following criteria:
- Evidence of a one-time achievement (major international award), OR
- At least 3 of 10 criteria demonstrating extraordinary ability
- Sustained national or international acclaim
- Intent to continue working in area of expertise
- Work will substantially benefit the United States
